Good Life Fitness
Good Life Fitness, founded in 1979 by David Patchell-Evans a Canadian rowing champion, has grown into the largest group of fitness clubs in Canada.
Most Good Life Fitness clubs are located in Eastern Canada with a variety of offers to get you started. Their facilities offer the best in fitness equipment and university trained fitness instructors. They have both co-ed and women only facilities.
Their Galleria Club in London Ontario, is a 70,000 square foot facility servicing over 10,000 members.
The company processes in excess of 2500 gifts per year to charitable organizations. Charities supported include the Muscular Dystrophy Association of Canada, The Canadian Breast Cancer Society, the Autism Society, the Toronto Hospital for Sick Kids, Firefighter Combat Challenge Teams, the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and the Terry Fox Foundation.
Good Life Fitness milestones:
* 1996 - A donation from Founder and CEO, David Patchell-Evans makes possible the construction of the GoodLifes Clubs Laboratory at the University of Western Ontario to serve as a teaching facility for Kinesiology students.
* 1998 - Good Life Fitness opens it's first club in Quebec in Pointe Claire.
* 2000 - David Patchell-Evans' Living The Good Life is published and launched across Canada.
* 2001 - GoodLife presents world renowned, pre-choreographed Body Training Systems group exercise classes.
* 2001 - GoodLife opens it's first Atlantic Canada club in Fredericton New Brunswick.
* 2001 - GoodLife moves it's corporate offices in London Ontario.
* 2001 - In consultaion with the Heart and Stroke Foundation GoodLife launches it's Heathly Heart program with the focus on education and prevention.
* 2002 - GoodLife provides heart rate and blood pressure machines in most clubs for members' personal use and education.
